Recently, we went to MomoCon. What is Momocon? It’s a convention here in Georgia. It’s a gaming and anime convention, and it is [in the future] a four day convention over memorial day weekend.

Whilist we were at MomoCon, I met some good people that were very nice and willing to talk. There were some who asked for pictures and others who wanted pictures with you. May it be you were in cosplay or not, there were always people who were willing to stop and help you around or introduce you to others. The crowds may be big, but it’s definitely worth going to.

A few things that were noted – you know that you’re at a convention when your spotpass [on 3ds] goes wild. What I mean by that is if you walk around with it on, you will receive a load of people who will enter themselves into your 3ds. Another thing you can tell just by the visual effect you see from people is that everyone brings their ds – seeing a long line of people with it out can prove this point.

The dealers room was cool – seeing the stuff that most people don’t have and seeing those stores you remember. The problem with going into that room is limiting yourself to what you buy. [Sadly, I couldn’t do that.] The artists alley was also a nice area – finding and being able to get the art that people drew/painted/other themselves is probably one of the best things that could happen.

Overall, I really liked the convention. While I may not have much to say because I don’t know how to put them into words, there’s lots more to tell. It would be easier just to go and see it yourself!! [Preordering your passes is easiest – don’t wait until the door price to get them] I hope to see you there next year!

Review: Skylanders Giants

I received the game Skylanders Giants for my birthday and it was not at all what I expected. I totally thought it would be a lame game. Actually its quite interesting and very problem solving. The tutorial takes a little time. Each character takes on its own game and personality. Pretty cool. My brother and I played for hours after my party and really had a good time.

Once you get through the story line and the tutorial you really have an understanding of what is going on.  The other great thing is its a multi player game so that your siblings can jump in. (even parents)

I do have an issue with one of the figures but Activision assure that we will get a new one for free.
The other awesome thing about it is there is a help video on youtube that helps with some trouble shooting.  The only other down fall is the spiral characters will not interact with the giant characters.
I give Skylanders Giants a B++

Actually this game was bought for my mom and dad to play but since they hadnt played it yet I wanted to see what it was all about.

My mom loves Martial Arts and had played this as a younger person with dad so they were kinda Geeky over playing it. They loved it but the one thing that turned them off was the gore factor. Even though it wasnt as bad as others I have seen its just not cool when your trying to focus on the actual movement of the character. Each character kinda brings a grrr to the game and the movements are really awesome. They even have Van Dame movements which is pretty cool. It is not at all a dwerpy game.
Its very challenging and very well done and I really really enjoyed the tutorial because with out it youd be floundering and lost in the game.
I think it rocks and cant wait to play it again with mom. I guess you never really grow up when your an arcade kid.
Mortal Combat gets an A-
