Music: A Different Kind of Christmas

Christmas is for sure the best holiday in my opinion for it’s music. It’s really the only holiday with an entire genre for it.  You can’t exactly find a Pandora station for Thanksgiving can you? But despite my sincere love for the classic Christmas songs, and especially if they involve Justin Bieber singing them, I am just to much of a wannabe hipster to listen to the same songs  everyone else listens to year after year so this Christmas I am taking matters into my own hands and assembling my own unknown Christmas songs Playlist to ensure my reputation stays intact.

1. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)- The Ravenonettes, An electronic style mix to the classic Darlene Love song

2. Christmas Isn’t Christmas- The Boy Least Likely To, Nothing says Christmas quite like an indie heartbreak

3. Santa Clause is Coming to Town- Elvis Presley, Technically this is only obscure to my generation, but whatever

4. Just Like Christmas- Low, Happier at least as far as the beat goes

5. Wonderful Christmas Time- Paul McCartney, alright everybody knows this song, but Paul is a boss

6. Christmas Party- Dr. Dog, This one is actually happy and pretty fun

7. Listen The Snow Is Falling- Galaxie 500, It’s almost 8 minutes long enough said

8. Christmas Day In the Sun- Hot Hot Heat, I can agree with this

9. Xmas Curtain- My Morning Jacket, sounds kinda like old rock

10. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen- Bright Eyes, indie version
